Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 26, 2026
Skolari ("Skolari," "we," "us," or "our") provides an AI-native school operating system used by schools to manage student information, academics, tuition and billing, and communication with families. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and services, including any text (SMS) messages sent through the platform.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — names, email addresses, and mobile phone numbers of school staff, parents/guardians, and authorized contacts.
- School and student records — data entered by a school to operate its programs (enrollment, grades, attendance, billing). Schools are the owners and controllers of this data; Skolari processes it on their behalf.
- Usage and device data — standard log information (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) used to keep the service secure and reliable.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide and secure the service, deliver school communications you have opted into, process tuition and billing, respond to requests, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
3. SMS / text messaging
No mobile information is shared for marketing. No mobile information — including phone numbers and text-messaging opt-in data or consent — will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This information is used solely to deliver the school communications you have opted into.
Consent. Parents/guardians and staff provide their mobile number to their school and opt in to receive text messages such as attendance and absence alerts, tuition and payment reminders, grade and report notifications, and school announcements. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of enrollment or of any purchase.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your school's activity and the notifications you have enabled.
Cost. Message and data rates may apply.
Opt-out and help. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe at any time; reply HELP for help. You may also contact your school or email us at hello@skolari.ai.
To send text messages, we use trusted messaging providers (such as Twilio) that transmit messages to mobile carriers on our behalf. These providers process phone numbers only to deliver messages and are contractually restricted from using the information for their own purposes. This delivery processing is not the sharing of mobile information for marketing.
4. How we share information
We share information only with: (a) the school you are associated with; (b) service providers who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations (for example, cloud hosting, messaging, and payment processing); and (c) authorities when required by law. As stated above, we never share mobile opt-in data or phone numbers with third parties for marketing.
5. Data security & location
Skolari runs on U.S.-based cloud infrastructure aligned with FERPA requirements. Each school's data is logically isolated, access is least-privilege and audit-logged, and data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS).
6. Children's privacy (FERPA)
Student records are education records handled in accordance with FERPA and the direction of the school, which acts as the data controller. Skolari does not use student data to train AI models and does not sell student data.
7. Your choices
You may opt out of text messages at any time (reply STOP). To access, correct, or delete personal information, contact your school (the controller of student and family records) or email us at hello@skolari.ai and we will assist the school in responding.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, by notice through the service.
